Prayer Shawl
“Let me find refuge under the shelter of your wings.”

Mission: Each month those who participate in the ministry, gather to knit shawls. They share with each other, knit as they chat, and then finally gathering themselves in, they pray over each person’s work (finished or just begun). The prayers are for healing, peace, joy, and reconciliation, love acceptance, release from anguish... whatever each participant chooses to ‘infuse’ each shawl with. A final prayer is said to end the meeting. The shawls are then delivered to various parishioners, as well as to those identified by the group as people particularly in need-perhaps a new widow/widower or someone undergoing chemotherapy, etc.

Role: Anyone who would like to be a part of this ministry does not need to know how to knit, only pray. The Lord will provide the skill. The group will be meeting on Saturday morning (every 3rd Saturday of the month) at 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
