We are a Community of Faith, called by Jesus Christ to become His hands, His feet, His heart, reaching out in love to each other, to our families, to our neighbors, to our nation and to the world. (PARISH MISSION)
REVERENCE AT MASS
The Tabernacle, located to the left of our Altar, houses the Eucharist, the most Blessed Sacrament, and the very presence of Our Lord Jesus. It is toward this that we genuflect upon entering the Church as we prepare our hearts for Mass.
A bow is ordinarily made to the Altar and Cross. You will notice that the Priest and Deacon always kiss the Altar upon arriving there and departing at the end of Mass. This is because the Altar represents the Lord Jesus, who becomes present at the celebration of the Mass at the Consecration.
